HOW IT WORKS

  1. Upload your 3D model

    Start with an STL of the piece you want to cast.

  2. Print the mold-making parts

    Use Moldcaster to plan and export the parts you’ll 3D print and assemble to shape the plaster.

  3. Pour your plaster mold

    Pour plaster into the assembled printed parts. Let it set, then remove the printed parts.

  4. Cast your clay piece

    Use the plaster mold to slip-cast your piece, then dry, fire and glaze it.

    Bring your shape

    Upload your STL, check its orientation, and set the size and shrinkage allowance.

  2. 02

    Work out the mold

    Set your printer dimensions and mold options. Inspect the parts and review the release checks.

  3. 03

    Take it to the studio

    Export the printable tooling. Print and assemble it, cast the plaster, and trial your mold.
